Self care means different things to different people. For one person, it may mean meditation, for another it’s shouting loudly at the footy on Friday night. For some the topic invokes resentment as another ‘thing’ to have to attend to when time and energy is scarce.
Families, carers and supporters often put the person they care about first and neglect their own needs. How do you take care of yourself and avoid burn-out? How do you even know when you’re running on empty? (Is it when people around you tell you that you’re cranky?)
